When you experience the Connecticut Science Center, you will be inspired to pursue your interests in science, in the world inside and around you, and the role you can play in scientific discovery through increased understanding, new knowledge, and even a future career. The Science Center is committed to inspiring a new generation of science, technology, engineering, and math talent to carry forward our culture of innovation.
The Science Center believes in sparking a lifetime interest in science and ensuring that all students during the summer months have access to opportunities to succeed in STEM-related learning. To that end, Teen Innovation is a six-week, stipend paid summer STEM experience for high school students (grades 9-12) residing in under-served communities in Connecticut. Stipends serve to enable lower-income students to pursue this experience instead of low-skill summer jobs. The stipends also support the Science Center’s message that STEM-related peer-to-peer work is valuable and worth the investment of their out-of-school time and energy. Bus passes are available at no cost for those who need transportation assistance.
