The Mission of the Elizabeth Park Conservancy is to maintain, preserve, restore, and promote Elizabeth Park, with the Helen S. Kaman Rose Garden as its centerpiece, as a regional horticultural park for the education, enjoyment, and appreciation of the Park by today’s visitors and future generations.
The Elizabeth Park Conservancy will sustain and elevate the Park’s status as a significant national landmark with the oldest municipally operated public rose garden. Elizabeth Park is more than a park. It is a unique urban oasis with an unparalleled blend of natural, horticultural, historical, educational, recreational, cultural, social, and economic assets. By connecting diverse communities, Elizabeth Park makes our individual lives healthier, our neighborhoods more vibrant, and our region more competitive. Elizabeth Park Conservancy is the steward of this legacy.
